Make Room
A six-week online course for women
Your home is talking to your nervous system. All day.
You don't just look at your home. Your brain is constantly reading it: is this calm, predictable, safe, or too much? Light, sound, air and layout are all processed, mostly without you noticing. So the question isn't just how your home looks. It's what it's doing to you.
Make Room helps you see one room differently, understand why it feels the way it does, and change it, without a renovation. Whether your home is finished or still a work in progress, this is for you.
Wednesdays, 8pm · Starts 4 November · Six weeks

FOUNDING COHORT | SIX PLACES ONLY
How it works
One hour a week, live online with me, in a small group of six. Each week we explore one way a room affects you, and you try what you learn in one room of your choice.
The Six Weeks
What is this room for?
Every room prompts habits, through what’s in reach, on show and easy to do. We compare what your room invites with what you want from it, and why the gap often isn’t about willpower..
Light.
Light is one of the main signals your body clock uses to tell day from night. Learn how brightness, colour temperature and placement can help you feel alert by day and wind down in the evening.
Clearing the noise.
Your brain stops noticing what doesn’t change, but your nervous system may still be responding to it. We look at background sound, hard and soft surfaces, and visual busyness as competing signals, not a tidiness problem.
The air you breathe.
Candles, sprays, cleaning products, new furniture and even cooking all shape your indoor air. Learn what VOCs are, why ventilation and humidity matter, and why scent is so closely tied to memory and mood.
How the room holds you.
There’s a reason most of us choose the seat with our back to the wall and a view of the room. We explore the science behind it, layouts that connect or give you space to retreat, and how nature and texture help us recover.
Make it yours.
We explore identity and belonging, how memory shape our response to colour, and the objects that make a room feel like yours, plus the RAH Colours test to find your own palette.
*RAH Colours: a short online test that uncovers the colours tied to your happiest memories, giving you a personal palette to bring into your home.

Questions
What is the group course format?
One small group of six women, meeting live online for an hour each Wednesday. Each session, you share what you noticed in your room, I teach that week's topic, and you choose one small change to try. Between sessions, there's a WhatsApp group for sharing photos, questions and what's working, with my support throughout.
Is this interior design?
Not in the usual sense. It isn't about style, trends or a makeover, and I won't be designing your room for you. It's about understanding how your home affects the way you feel, and learning to make changes yourself, in any room, long after the six weeks.
What if I miss a live session?
The teaching part of each session is recorded and shared with the group, so you can catch up in your own time. The sharing part isn't recorded, so everyone can speak freely. Joining live is the best way to get the most from the group, but if life gets in the way, you can still post what you noticed in the WhatsApp group.
